Team HF History

Welcome to the Team Hells Fury history made by Members, told by Members. On this page you will find many stories written by some of the oldest and/or most respected Members of this Team. I did not edit these stories so everything below the red text is there story. You will see how each person came into Team HF in there own way. People have asked for many years for a page like this to get put into the mix so here it comes! As time goes on I will add more stories to this page, but I hope you enjoy each story!

The story of EL-DiabloHF

Back in late 1999 I started playing Diablo 1 on USEast.  I was getting owned so bad on the game I almost stopped playing. I did some looking around and found that being in a clan was the way to go! You get help, you get hacks, and you get to stop being killed. So I approached a clan called dbd (Dead By Dawn)…

These guys treated me like the largest newb to ever walk the earth! Lol It is funny now because a lot of the people back then are now my friends today but these guys were so top notch they would have nothing to do with me… I mean I could not blame them I had not even been gaming a month!

So about 2 weeks later I went into a recruitment game for Hells Fury. The guy seemed cool so I joined. He told me there was a Co-Leader (Rev_Amon) and that’s whom I needed to talk to because he was leaving for some time. He also told me to start recruiting people, said I seemed like I knew what I was doing so I could start getting new Members. So I did just that… I went out and started recruiting new Members for this great clan I just joined. A lot of time went by and I never seen the so-called leader of HF let alone this Co-Leader he spoke of. I went to the people that I had recruited and explained that these guys must not be coming back. There response was “Well you are the Leader, sense you recruited us”.

So I made a website, added some pictures, made some ranks and called myself the Leader lol… I got mixed up about a month later when I was logging in to Battle Net and got on USWest. I was gaming for about a week and was like “What the hell happened to all the people I recruited!” Well a few of the guys came and found me and we just stayed on USWest.

A few years back the guy that recruited me turned up in our clan channel! It was kind of funny really when he came in, the channel was full of very loyal HF Members. When this dude came in and told them all that he was there Leader, well lets just say the guy did not have a very enjoyable time in the channel! He left never to be heard from again that I know and honestly I don’t think he would want to get the same treatment again!

I met so many great people that played a huge role in building HF what it is today! A lot of people have come and gone from HF and we seem to keep going and growing. I wish everyone that was recruited never left but that is just not how it works on battle net. So now I just get to know the people while they are here and enjoy the gaming fun we all have together. Change is never fun but change always brings in new faces and new fun!

Now that I have ran HF for so many years I don’t really see it as a game anymore, I get on to hang with my friends! People in HF always seem to get along and when needed they are always willing to help in any way they can. I would not trade in my experience for anything and I hope other people current and future members find Team Hells Fury a great place like so many other people have! Team Hells Fury Forever!!

The Story of Abby(HF)

In 1997 I was dating a guy who was a big gamer. I had no exposure to online gaming (or computers or the internet for that matter). When he realized this he got it into his head that I would become internet and computer wise by basically teaching myself through trial and error. He had a game that had just been released that kind of interested me....that game was Diablo. I played it awhile offline before I braved my fear of this so called "internet" and logged onto Bnet (U.S. East).

This is the era in which Bnet was a hackers dream, and I'm sure Blizzard's nightmare. Within a few weeks on Bnet I was in a clan and using hacks. This shocked the nerd boyfriend to no end. He also realized he maybe should have given me some basic background like there's these things called "viruses" lmao (and not left everything to my trial and error method). That first year on Bnet is a story in itself. Let's just say because of the type of people I was associating with I learned a lot about how "the game" was played. Not much of that included how to actually play Diablo lol.

Due to huge changes in my personal life (becoming a nurse, moving to the US etc.) I left Bnet for several years. I came back in 2001 to find a completely different environment. For starters I didn't know anyone anymore. So my instinct was to start looking for a clan to join.

I soon joined a clan called Hell Knights (HK). I didn't have any hacks (HK didn't either), so I went looking for someone to hook me up. My first thought was this Tron guy who had recently crashed me. I found him and his clan, and in the process I also got to know people in a lot of other clans both on East and West. Some major names people would still know, others not so memorable.

Soon after I joined HK the leader left Bnet and I inherited the clan. After a few months the players became more and more into StarCraft (which I never could get into playing), so I stepped down as leader. I started my own clan called exe. Most clans on Bnet were either D1 or SC clans, I started exe as a D2 clan.

The mass confusion I called "running a clan ensued"...I was leader of exe, trying to learn to play D2, teaching myself to make web sites, recruiting and making allies. On top of that I was secretly a member of some D1 hacking clans. I had also allied exe with clans that "officially" didn't have allies. So all that had to be kept secret too. I was doing all this between east and west. I don't know how I ever kept everything and everyone straight back then.

So one day I'm sitting in my channel on east, when in comes this EL-DiabloHF guy and one of his members BoStarHF from west. I had some clue who HF was, because of some west clans we mutually knew (EDF had been an ally once of HK, and SD was an ally of exe). But I had never talked to El, and had no idea why he was there...

El was there to fight (based on some false information given to him). At the time clans normally used D1 channels, and you couldn't kick or ban people. The usual course of action was fight with the person. So I call some people into the channel for back up. El and I butted heads for awhile, eventually  El and Bo went back west.

Of course me being me, I was so ticked off I in turn went over west to the HF channel and commanded El to apologize to me!! Lmao, as you can imagine that went over like a ton of bricks...there was no apology. However, we somehow moved on and got past our bumpy first encounter. I asked around about HF and El (I didn't hear anything bad) so I occasionally started hanging out in the HF channel and gaming with HF members.

It came to a point on east where I knew I was going to leave Bnet if something didn't change. Amongst all the hacking, back stabbing, lying and fighting there also was not a big interest in D2 yet (on east anyways) and especially not for D2 clans. I found myself going west more and more and playing D2 with HF members. I eventually asked El if I could join HF. The rest is history!

I quit east and all the clans I had been in, and settled down with HF. I did take grief from some east people when they heard I had joined HF and moved west. I'd get visits every now and then from people berating me for it. I think they just missed my biting sarcasm and fighting with me lol. I never regretted asking to join HF.

People will ask me how I can still play on Bnet, how I'm not bored of it. All I have to say is... if your bored on Bnet you definitely haven't spent any time with HF lol, and if the only reason I logged onto Bnet was to play Diablo, I would've quit years ago.

HF isn't just about gaming, it's also about friends. HF members understand that, that's why I've always been proud to say I'm a member of Hells Fury.

The story of Jedi(HF)

…Jedi(HF), part of the intergalactic society of interactive entertainment activists (AKA video game players) began his journey on the planet of Diablo II: LoD when he was known as Elvish_Jedi, and was continuously being proved a n00bcake as he tried playing his Tri-Element Sorceress, his Meditation Healing paladin, and his Cobra Strike Single-clawed Assassin. He slowly began to realize he needed to refine his playing strategy, when he met a group of ruffians by the name of Hell’s fury….

Back, to reality though, tis Jedi and my history. I honestly don’t remember how I got into HF, although I’ve been here for quite some time (back in the day shortly after (HF) merged with (GoD) [God’s of destruction] during the D1 era), and I’ve seen people come and go from HF more than I’d like. When I first started on battle.net, I was totally nub to any decent build, and was playing by a single player build that literally took me 5 hours to get through act 1 hell when it was lvl 94, because it was a paladin with a max Prayer aura, 10 into meditation, some into Zeal, and some into some other random skills (this was before synergies). After a while of playing I began finding people in the game who were willing to offer advice the battle.net newcomers, and they helped me get started with a decent build. Pre-HF my most successful build was a Frozen Orb Sorceress that reached lvl 94 with full Tal’Rasha set. At the time I would have sworn by the sorc because it was pre-rune word and could PvP decently, as well as take care of anything needed to be done in PvM (thanks to her Fire act 3 Merc). It was during this time that at some point I saw someone mention clan HF and their forums so I went there and checked it out. Shortly after I met some of the HF members of the time (Like Sasha, EliteKiller, and etc.) and after some time hanging out, somebody recruited me.

Since then, I’ve been with HF for approximately 5 years, watching people come and go. My original HF account was Elvish_Jedi(HF), but that got banned not long ago when blizzard did their first mass ban during 1.10 patch, and when that happened I created the account Sith_Lord(HF). I’m not totally sure what caused me to quit using that, but eventually I began to not play on it, and began playing on what is one of my current accounts, Jedi(HF).

Throughout the years I’ve met some amazing people in HF, some of which I almost consider more of family to me than my own flesh and blood, because some of them have been there for me during hard times when no one else really cared. The biggest thing I have noticed and loved about HF is that if you’re in, you’re a big family. You have people who you can look up to as role models, and you have some who you can annoy the hell out of like brothers and sisters. And when you screw up…they let you know J. I’ve had some wonderful times in HF, and plan on continuing to have them until HF is no more, which I plan on being all the way until battle.net servers are shut down…

….and even then we will have LAN party’s and get our own servers J.

The Story of Kindiliniak(HF)

Rhinoa(SR) was where it all began, fall of 99 in Diablo Spirit, USEast.
I started in the clan as a new member of 30, during a time of war with
VpK, and DoA. As I progressed to the leader position in 2 months, the
next 2 years went by quicker then anything, game, pk, kill, collect
ears, get paid. All it was.

Then in 2001 I came upon the clan HK. In this clan was a man, Silas, I
was offered a crash hack, if I could pk this man and bring his ear to
the leader of DoE. From there I set out to hunt him down, in the process
received a writ of habeas corpus upon Abby of the .ExE clan. To bad she
never knew it was me after her for a while! Anyway, I ended up with Silas
in a clan called -D)A( for the next 3 years, of which I achieved the
rank of a Senior Councilmen, I was leader of the Diablo 1 division, and
active on Starcraft, D1, and D2.

In 2003 or so, I ran into a rogue group of Team Hells Fury members.
Ex-members, went a-wall on the clan, and reformed their own group. There
I learned of Team Hells Fury, and was being paid in knowledge to learn
of what HF was about. While accepting the bribe, I had learned HF was a
group of people who wanted to simply have fun, and play together as a
team. Not worry about who was superior to who. From there, my clan
started to deteriorate, and I found myself at the footsteps of the
USWest gateway, and with an invitation from El.Diablo(HF) himself.

I’ve been here since 2004, and been having fun ever since! I’ve had my
offline times, ups and downs, but always remained true to HF, as a
member when possible, and as a supporter through all doubt that it would
be here when I return, and now as a General of HF I set out to lead Team
Hells Fury into the future of greatness as a whole team, wherever that
ground may take us.

The Story Of JuggaloSmoke-HF

      (Aka.Archangel(GoD), NecroMaster(HF), Smokey(HF))

It all Started in about 1999….I was a new player to diablo1 a friend gave me a copy of his disc and I started playing at home on single player. I got bored playing on single player fast and went to b.net. I went into Diablo usa-1 and started talking to people. I don’t remember wich clan I joined first but they were noobs and died off realy fast. I had gotten hacked probably 10 times and started searching for friends that were “Godly”. I eventually found sasha(GoD) in a channel and we started talking about hacking. She sent me to bobbafette and some other hacking program.

Sasha was cool and helped me out a lot and even sent me some cool programs and antivirus software. Not to mention all the godly hacks and such. I made my own clan and I allied with (GoD) I forgot the name of my clan but it didn’t last long either I was to noob to keep it up. So I again went back to Sasha and asked her to join (GoD) clan on D1. I made the acct ArchAngel(GoD) and started owning games and crashing them hard, back than whoever crashed who first won the duel and she had a lot of good stuff to keep us from crashing and kept us up.

.                                   She made the decision to Ally Hells Fury clan and asked the members if we agreed, and of course I already knew EL and HF clan as a godly gaming clan so I agreed right away. Some members didn’t want the transition so they moved on to “better things” according to some stragglers. EL had Sasha change our account names to HF tags and we did.

I than became NecroMaster(HF) and started gaming D2 quite often. HF was always great about helping out members where as in (GoD) a lot of members were strictly out for themselves. I found my home in

Op HFclan channel and started Loving the fury life. I Started a new acct                                   name Smokey(HF) and was gaming almost 20/7. I didn’t even need sleep when I played and I still don’t …..Hells Fury has been great to me always.

Every item, every thing I needed was taken care of.

I made the rank of Lt. Col when I first joined the team, I ended up leaving and soon became homeless. I had some rough times and some great times but I eventually got set back to normal and got a home and a computer and recently started playing Diablo 2 again. I came back under the name JuggaloSmoke-Hf and we have been noobslappin on a daily ever since….I am now Captain of Team HF and am movin on up!! But that’s my story….hard to remember deep details tho :O

The Story of Narada(HF)

(AKA Info_b0t, NaradaB0T, CaptainStumpy, Phuck_Yiu, stumpmeister)

Note: My memory is absolutely horrible, sorry for forgetting dates and people!

My introduction to Battle.net came somewhere in the year 1998, when my old buddy Tim got me into StarCraft on USWest.  Aside from the fact that we were in 6th or 7th grade, this kid was pretty leet.  Under the name “aliencannibal” I got quite good at StarCraft, though I’ll confess that my skills lost a bit of their edge with the release of Brood War.  This lasted for at least one year, maybe more, maybe less.

Next I moved on to Diablo, beginning my gaming as a warrior named “KillaOfDemons” (I was like 12 or something, cut me some slack. :P)  Anyways, no sooner than I started playing I quickly found myself disgusted by those who PKed, so I decided to go into bounty hunting… hunting PKers, that is.

Inevitably, I ended up running across hackers who ruined my shit.  So like a good little nooblet, I found myself a copy of BoBaFeTT’s trainer and Nightrider’s Item Editor.  I then took on the new name of “Narada” and got started on honing my leet skiddie skillz.  These worked pretty well for awhile… until I met people who could crash Diablo itself.  I suppose it was a bit of a mixed blessing, because without these assholes I never would’ve started to mingle with clans and the hacking community.

Sometime around 2000 I went back to StarCraft under the new name of LoH-Narada, creating the clan Legion of Honor.  I made a website from scratch with only notepad and HTML as my sword and shield; the clan lived for awhile, then kinda died… well everyone knows how that goes.

Well somewhere in the middle of that (I was still playing Diablo at the time) I met Sasha, who was a member of the Gods of Destruction (GOD).  She gave me some basic .dats and taught me how to use them with the aid of Dhack, and soon I was able to monkey stomp all of the other noob script kiddies using dats like myself.  Yeah, I thought I was pretty hot shit. <.< Long story short, I ended up becoming good buddies with Sasha and some other guys from (GOD), and to tell you the truth I secretly idolized their 1337 h4x0r skills and wanted to be “leet enough” to someday join them.

I finally ditched the carcass of LoH- and joined with a new Diablo based clan called -MF-, or Mobile Forces.  Among our ranks were King-MF-/Bringeroflight and Blizdogg-MF-, the latter of which some of you may remember being an old leader of Mess With Us You’re Dead (MWUYD).  It should be noted however that Chancy(MWUYD) was the leader when I joined, Blizdogg taking over after Chancy left.

No earlier than 2003, I ended up as a fairly “beefy” guy in (MWUYD), (meaning I don’t remember rank, but it was an upper one) and things were going pretty well (albeit some people had attitude problems and held grudges like you wouldn’t believe.)  I believe it was also when I was in (MWUYD) that I first met Lithium[Le] and EJ (Savage), who I also became friends with.  Somewhere along the way I invented the “Nuke-0-Meter” to stick in profiles on Diablo in order to count your successful crashes… simply listing names doesn’t work when you get in excess of several hundred users. :P

For reasons I do not recall (I think grades or something), I was unable to be on b.nut for a good 2 weeks.  Apparently in this time Hell’s Fury (HF) and (GOD) had owned up on (MWUYD) like it was nobody’s business, in all honesty flat-out eradicating it.  You can imagine my surprise when I came back and joined Diablo USA-(MWUYD) only to find it completely empty.  Everything being complete chaos, I just wandered around trying to find people I knew (who didn’t want me dead) to game with.  Sasha again ended up coming to my aid, offering me membership in (GOD) as she had with many of the old (MWUYD) “refugees”.  I finally became a member of (GOD), and although it wasn’t necessarily under the best circumstances, I was happy.  Not too long after joining, I was inducted into the ranks of the Elite Guard and gamed under the alias of “Narada(GoD)”.

Unfortunately, it didn’t last; (GOD) [also (GoD)] began to die out.  El_Diablo_HF and Sasha, once bitter rivals, now friends, came together and had a talk.  Being the leader of (GOD) was taking it’s toll on Sasha, so she turned the clan over to Sire(GOD), and her, myself, and a handful of other (GOD) members merged with Hell’s Fury.  Primarily leaving the old days of Diablo behind, (HF) tended to be more focused on Diablo II.  That being so, I mournfully allowed my (GOD) account to expire, and became known from then on as Narada(HF).

While in Hell’s Fury, I’ve been known by the handles of Narada, Narada(HF), CaptainStumpy, Phuck_Yiu, and stumpmeister (though the names “Narada” and “Stumpy” appear to be the ones that have stuck.)  As a highly active member, I rose through the ranks of (HF), eventually earning the rank of Lieutenant General.  After several years of serving in that honorable position, work began to bog me down.  Soon school, family trouble, and serving as an administrator/staff member for several online hacking and security communities cut back severely on my free time, and as a result my Battle.net activity dropped to a bare minimum.  When it became apparent that what I thought would be a temporary decrease in activity was to gain permanence, both El and I felt it would be in (HF)’s best interest for me to step down.  Relieved of the tension of my awkward position, I settled down into the normal “member” rank, of which I currently reside in to this day.

Over the years, I’ve been to Hell and back (pun intended) with Hell’s Fury.  Hell’s Fury is not just a clan or group of people you game with – Hell’s Fury becomes a part of you, a part of your life.  (HF) has been nothing less than a second family to me, I don’t really know of any other way to better describe it.  Friendships may come and go over the years, but those of (HF) are always to be eternally cherished.  And with that said, I close with our time-tested battle cry of victory – Hell’s Fury forever!

The Story of Gameschief(HF)

Before I played D2 I watched some of my friends play while at their houses, I thought to myself, "I have got to get this game!” I bought it and played it for about a week, then Blizzard released the 1.10 patch on my birthday and I spent the next 2 weeks retrieving my body because they had made the game so much more difficult. Then I got divorced and didn’t play for a few yrs to take time to get my life straightened out, but I was hooked and D2 was on my mind. I finally was able to dedicate a small amount of time to playing D2 in Dec. 2005, the first thing I did of course was install the 1.11 patch and I thought to myself "I wonder how much more difficult they made it this time :\".

I played when I could after work during chores and such, much like the rest of the people who play this game. Then one day I found this item I knew nothing about, it did nothing for me, couldn’t sell it, couldn’t equip it, and couldn’t use the cube on it. I went into the channel and said, "what the hell l is a Key of Hate and what the hell do I do with it?" Some weird little guy I didn’t know told me to join a game and he would explain it to me. After spending about 30 min. listening to him tell me to go and get the rest of the keys and he would help me with ubers I thought "ok this guy is trying to scam me because I am new", but his story never changed. I collected the Keys and went to the channel he said I could find him in (op HFclan), he was never there it seemed, so I yelled "BEEEEENNNNN!" after all, he said just yell for me and somebody will find me.

They found him and he not just helped me do Uber Tristram, but he didn’t steal the Torch, my first Torch, and a Pally Torch at that! I spent the next few days hanging out in channel Op HFclan and met El, Abby, Jedi, and Haze(HF) all were very forthcoming with answers to my questions and even offered help. I had been in a clan when I met Hells Fury, but my own clan was nowhere near as helpful to a member as Hells Fury was to a stranger. I was told the same thing each and every one of us has been told " sign up for the forums", hang out in the channel, don’t beg us for entry, we will offer it", so I stayed there and talked and played and laughed.

Then El came to me and said you can’t join if you’re a member of another clan. I immediately submitted my resignation to my former clan and was recruited into Hells Fury 2 days later. I had trouble making the meetings due to my work schedule but I always remembered to send an email stating I couldn’t attend, but I made sure to be around as much as was possible for me. I spent most of my time playing with Ben my "little buddy" as I called him for some time, I played a practical joke on El on the cell phone and all was taken in fun and I thought "Ok! These are my kind of people!” I then decided to make every effort to make Hells Fury the place to be, all in my own way of course. Now I am ranked as Brigadier General and couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this Clan, Team, Family, all are appropriate terms in my view.

The Story of Blacknova(HF)

I started battle.net on east as HellBent(FK) after being introduced to d2 by
a friend.  My first clan I was in was (FK) on East.  I remain good friends
with the former leader of that to this day, Robert (formerly Magicman of
various clans including HF).

FK went to shit for whatever reason, People quit playing and it was mostly
just Robert and I.  I think we were actually tired of the people on East's
shit, so we decided to start a new clan on the west realm, the Madmen, or
(V) -- yes its a sweet looking M, not a V.  This is also when I came up with
the name BlackNova.  I have no idea how or why, but I still think it has a
nice ring to it :)

I was co leader of (V) for along time before Rob left the game for a while and
I stepped up as the leader.  We had an alliance with Hells Fury when the 2
clans gamed exclusively on Diablo 1.  This is how I became good friends with
HF members of the time including El, Sniper, Evil Angel, and others.

Kobra was actually initially one of my members (your welcome El) who left my
clan for HF as many members did because they gamed more than we did and was
just overall a more "prestigious" clan if you will.  After all my members
quit gaming, I too joined HF and got to skip the probation due to being a
long-time ally.

I do not recall the exact circumstances, but there was a time when HF was
becoming less active and I did not share the same vision for the future as
the clan, so I respectfully left the clan to join another clan of friends,
most of whom were former HF members known as -dN- or DarkNexus.

-dN-, similarly to HF was mostly just a group of friends who had met on
battle.net and was more than just a clan.  Many of us did not even consider
dN a clan, as it was only ever a couple of us.
Mike, the leader of dN, quit gaming on battle.net and we all went our
various ways.  I quit playing battle.net for awhile because frankly after
that many years, I had made almost every character at least once and was
bored with the game (at one time I had 7 accounts of mules)

Again, I forget what re-sparked my interest in Hells Fury a year or so
later, but I asked and received permission from El to return to HF since I
had left on good terms and continued to associate with HF in the time that I
was in dN, unlike many members of the 2 clans who did not get along well :P

And that’s where I remain today, a battle.net veteran of what I would guess
would be close to.....7 years?  I have met many great friends in that time
and unfortunately have lost contact with many of them.  While I'm on topic,
I'd like to thank each and everyone for contributing to my gaming experience
over the years.  You are why I keep coming back for more :D

The story of InsaneKobra-HF

I was first introduced to Diablo 1 by a friend of mine from the neighborhood. I can’t remember exactly when but it was most likely around 1998 - 1999. After playing single player for some time we moved on to play online to find the game was drastically different. Luckily for me he playedbefore I did and figured out where to get hacks and basically learn the ropes of online play which meant I didn’t have to go into games asking noob questions.

After playing online I loved it so much I got the game for myself. Soon after playing I joined my first clan known as the fallen angels. They were a new clan and were in need of members so I recruited as many people as possible for about a week. Then one day I logged on and everyone was just gone. It was like everyone left at once like maybe there was a memo I didn’t get or something.

After playing clanless for a while I eventually decided to find another clan. I came across blacknova(V) from the madmen clan. I joined and spent allot of time with the clan. You may remember deadlysorc(V) grimreaper(V) and blacknova(V) as they all eventually joined HF. Deadlysorc however used the name magicman(HF). It was during my time spent in (V) that I was introduced to hells fury. (V) and (HF) had a long history sometimes being enemies sometimes being friends. Its funny that I now sit as co-leader of the very clan I once went to war with years ago.

Eventually it got to the point where only me, nova, deadlysorc, and grimreaper ever played. So I decided to take el up on an offer he had extended to me about joining HF. Soon after nova, deadlysorc and grimreaper followed suit.

While in (V) I had made use of my friends list as a way to keep track of the clans enemies. Back in the d1 days if you added someone to your friends list you could see what game they were in regardless of them adding you or not. I continued to use this system in HF and even took it a step further. I kept a bot online and used its entire friends list for this sole purpose. Being that persistent helped me make a name for myself within HF and move up through the ranks at a decent pace.

After a little over a year spent in hells fury I stepped away from battle.net for a year and a half. The break was long over due. Upon my return I found that most of the people from HF I had became good friends with had either left battle.net completely or join Darknexus a clan ran by Pk_killer(HF) after he left hells fury. I played solo for a while debating on joining my old friends in DN or rejoining my old clan. My decision to rejoin HF was based upon the fact that most of DN was just old friends that were getting burnt out on the game and never really played so I figured if I wanted toactually play HF was the way to go.

I’m not 100% sure but I think ive been in HF since sometime in the year 2000 minus the year and a half break I took. I’ve seen many come and many go. I’ve made several good friends and ive watched some leave (come back sniper :( ). Over the last year or so we have been using Ventrilo and it has really turned allot of from a group of friends into more then friends. Hells fury is as close to an online family as you can get. I have never played another game where I have gotten to know people so well. I was never good at English and I can’t write a non-cheesy closing statement get over it.

  The story of Urgefor-HF

My first experience with Battlenet came in the form of StarCraft via dial-up.  It was a love hate relationship.  I loved to play StarCraft but hated dial-up.  ;)  That was only for a short while however and I subsequently took a very long break from BattleNet play.  It was fun though to hear people whine about setting up my first pylon, Forge and a few cannons in their base as my opening move.  If I didn’t know better, I’d claim to be responsible for all those maps that have minerals that block base exits for the first minute or so of game play and game titles that have “NO RUSH” in them.  :D  Guess I never was good at playing by someone else’s rules when the game allows otherwise.

Fast forward a few years to high speed internet and me becoming acquainted.  A few co-workers and I started playing D2 after hours.  I had played a lot of D2 offline during the dial-up days, but never played it on Battlenet.  I found my new form of crack after having a falling out of sorts with my longtime favorite of online games, Quake (all hail iD!)  I started playing D2 much more than was healthy for a normal person, but crack addiction is crack addiction.  o.O  One of my co-workers that I played with was a real life friends of the then HF member Bentoons.  As time went one, we played on Battlenet getting some much needed info and tips from him.  After a few months he asked us all if we were interested in joining HF.  I checked out the website and thought it would be pretty cool to have some backup from time to time when playing since some things D2 are more difficult when you are playing by yourself without a loader.

Bentoons recommended me to El who gave the thumbs up and both ran me through the grueling gauntlet of HF recruitment.  Ahh, the days of hearing “Holy crap!  A lvl 92 Zon!” from various folks.  Old hat these days huh?  J  I quickly became acquainted with the HF crew that was around when I came onboard.  Sadly, only two remain, one of which was ready to unleash some Hello Kitty! wrath on me after I suggested she should just copy the Arreat Summit site onto hers.  Right Abbeh?  Luckily I live ½ way across the U.S. and was able to dodge certain death long enough to let it be known I was being silly.  Humor can be so hard to pull of through text messaging sometimes.  :D

Thinking about memorable moments during my time in HF brings quite a few thins to mind.  Some of the best though would be the classic maneuver involving

spamming public channels to get a ton of people into the Clan channel followed up by a vote ban via the bots.  Always funny to see someone vote to ban themselves.  Of course who can forget this jewel:  http://z4.invisionfree.com/Hells_Fury_Clan/index.php?showtopic=1852

A toast to HF!  My home away from home.
